Jonas Lauck won a gold bracelet at the 50th Annual World Series of Poker by winning in Event #56: $1,5000 No-Limit Hold’em Super Turbo Bounty. The last day was really difficult and lasted 15.5 hours after which the German player managed to secure his first bracelet in his career. The field consisted of 1,867 players, but Lauck ended up first, winning a total of $260,335.
There were a lot of popular poker players who decided to take part in this tournament. Some of them who are worth mentioning but did not manage to make it to the final table include Kalidou Sow, Bryn Kenney, Ryan Laplante, Bart Lybaert, Kenny Hallaert, and Dominik Panka. These players did not manage to make it to the money list, but WSOP is still not finished, and they will probably test their skills and luck in other events.

On the other hand, some players who did make it to the money list but not to the final table include Daniel Negreanu, Kristen Bicknell, Bertrand Grospellier, Benjamin Zamani, Max Pescatori, Daniel Sterlitz, and Anton Wigg. In fact, Wig ended up on the 15th place, winning a total of $12,745.
When it comes to this event, Jonas Lauck had both skills and luck and managed to end up in the first place with the support of his rail, which was really loud and supportive. However, his rail was not the only one that was loud. In fact, the Brazilian Fernando Viana, who finished in the third place, also had very vocal support. Their rails joined and sang songs as if they were on a soccer match. At one point, it was difficult for Lauck to concentrate, and he had to cover his ears in order to stay focused. He added that he had tried to focus and not listen to the rail, especially since he was in the part of the event where mistakes were practically not allowed.
Although this was the first gold bracelet for Lauck, it wasn’t his biggest money win. In fact, he is an online grinder, and he managed to win approximately $1.5 million by winning the WCOOP Main Event. Lauck himself recognized his WSOP bracelet as his biggest achievement, but not the biggest cash as well. He added that the win was special to him as he had been in a WSOP heads-up play once and lost.
The Final Table Results
The final table consisted of nine players. The first one to hit the rail was Edward Courage from Canada, who won $20,793. He was followed by Aaron Johnson in eighth place for $26,992. The seventh place belonged to Arron Woodcock from the UK, who won a total of $35,412. He was soon followed by another Aaron, this time Aaron Pinson, who won $46,951. Anil Jivani ended up fifth for $62,901, and Markus Gonsalves was fourth and won a total of $85,141. As previously mentioned, Viana ended up third and won $116,426, and Robert Bickley lost in the heads-up battle and ended in second place with $160,820.
