BetMGM Sportsbook is soon going to be flooded with college basketball action, but the company isn’t waiting around for that big event. On the online casino side of things, BetMGM has launched March Poker Mania as an eight-day event that is full of action.
There will be a total of 26 events played over a span of eight days during this event, and players in three states will be able to get in on the action. New Jersey currently has the most guaranteed money in this event, but there will be tournaments in Michigan and New Jersey as well.
Even though this is an event put on by BetMGM Casino, there will still be some basketball themed events taking place. Fans who are hoping to win something extra can play in the basketball-themed poker tournaments for a chance to win a special jersey.
With over $300,000 in guaranteed prize money available in each state, there will be plenty of big winners. BetMGM has worked hard to create events for everyone, including the major players.
Different Buy-Ins Offered
In an effort to keep as many people interested as possible, BetMGM has a wide range of buy-ins available throughout this series. Players can buy-in for just $50 to some tournaments, while others will have a buy-in of up to $500.
The Mania Finals will be the last event that takes place during the series, and $50,000 in guaranteed prize money will be up for grabs. That’s actually going to be $150,000 in prize money handed out on March 17th as this tournament will be played in all three states.
Some of the events will be played with a pot limit format, and that should keep some of the smaller players in the game as well. Most of the events will be no-limit style though, and those pots can increase in hurry.
There is currently no way for players to compete with those from another state as BetMGM has not yet rolled out that feature. It does appear likely that the next series from BetMGM will allow Michigan and New Jersey players to compete in the same events.
BetMGM always does a great job of having some great online casino options for players, but this is a series that the top poker players won’t want to miss out on.
Some Big Events
While the Mania Finals will be the biggest draw overall, there are going to be plenty of other tournaments to get the attention of players. On March 12th, the Fast Break Turbo event comes with a $500 buy-in, and it’s a tournament with huge guarantees.
There are a couple of $250 buy-in tournaments taking place on March 13th and 14th, and those are tournaments for the mid-level poker player. All of the biggest buy-in events also come with a specialized jersey that can be won.
One nice thing about this series from BetMGM is that none of the tournaments are going to span multiple days, allowing players to get into more events.
