The Golden State Warriors are on the road at the San Antonio Spurs on Monday. This is a rematch of a game that was played on Saturday at Golden State. The Spurs won that game by a score of 126-113.
For the Warriors, they are now 33-30 on the season. The loss dropped them to 17-17 at home this season. Golden State is in the 10th and final spot in the Western Conference, but have a comfortable lead on Houston and Utah.
On the other side, the Spurs have the worst record in the West. San Antonio is now 15-50 on the season. The win on the road pushed them to 8-29 on the season. That means they are 6-21 at home. The Spurs led by 19 points at halftime in this game.

Warriors Seeking Bounce Back
In the loss for the Warriors, Steph Curry didn’t play in the game. That led Klay Thompson and Jonathan Kuminga to lead the team in scoring. Thompson has 27 off the bench, while Kuminga added 26 points on 10 of 17 shooting. Chris Paul made the start for the Warriors , and scored 10 points and dished out 9 assists.
Curry leads the team with 26.9 points per game. He was playing nearly 33 minutes per game, but will be out for a couple games with the ankle sprain. Kuminga is adding 15.7 points per game, while making 53% of his shots. The Warriors need to finish 11-8 to tie their record from a season ago.

Spurs Looking to Repeat
The Spurs were without their top rookie Victor Wembanyama with an ankle sprain, and also Devin Vassell with a hip injury. That did not stop them as five guys scored in double figures. Keldon Johnson scored 22 off the bench, while Jeremy Sochran added 20 in 24 minutes.
Wembanyama leads the team in scoring with 20.7 points per game, in nearly 29 minutes played. Vassell is adding 19.5 points per game. San Antonio has been one of the worst teams in the league defensively, but it was the offense that carried them in the 126-113 win. San Antonio will need to go 7-10 in their final 17 games to match their win total from a season ago.
The San Antonio Spurs are home for eight straight games. The Spurs host the Warriors first, and then will welcome visits from the Rockets, Nuggets, Nets, Mavericks, Grizzlies and Suns twice. The next road game is March 27th at the Jazz.
