In the loss on Monday, rookie Victor Wembanyama scored a team high 27 points. He also ripped down 14 rebounds, but it was not enough. Devin Vassell was second with 17 points, while Keldon Johnson came off the bench and added 16.
Wembanyama is scoring 20.7 points per game in his rookie season. The Spurs have done a pretty good job of limiting his minutes, at 28.8 per game. Devin Vassell is next with 19.5 points per game. Vassell is making more than 47% of his shots on the season.
This is the 2nd of 8 straight home games for the San Antonio Spurs. The next time the Spurs play a road game is March 27th at the Utah Jazz. After this game, the Spurs will welcome the Nuggets, Nets, Mavericks, Grizzlies and then back to back games against the Suns.
