The Philadelphia 76ers will take on the Toronto Raptors for what’s expected to be one of the more interesting Eastern Conference games of the day. Philadelphia comes into this one playing as one of the top teams in the NBA as they’re a squad that has a legitimate chance of winning an NBA title.
There’s still a chance that they can end up with the number two seed in the Eastern Conference, but with just a few games left to play, they need to be perfect from here on out if they want that seed. Toronto, on the other hand, needs to win a few more games to lock down their playoff spot. Although it looks likely that they’re going to be playing in the play-in tournament, being in the playoffs is still something that this team is hoping for as they can make some noise against most teams in the Eastern Conference if things do go their way.

Can Philadelphia Match Toronto’s Energy?
When looking at what the Philadelphia 76ers have done this season, it’s easy to see why people do believe that this team does have a legitimate chance of winning an NBA title. Although Joel Embiid and the 76ers have had a few disappointing playoff series throughout the past few seasons, this looks like the year that they might be finally getting over that hump.
It’s not going to be an easy task for them to do so against the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks, but the 76ers have proven that they can beat anybody on any given night, and that’s good for them heading into the postseason. Joel is playing like an MVP candidate right now and he needs to continue doing that towards the end of the season and into the playoffs.
Throughout the past few seasons, he found ways to, unfortunately, get injured in ways that he can’t even control. If he can find a way to stay healthy during the playoffs, this Philadelphia team is going to be a tough out for any team that they go up against.
Big Game for the Raptors
The Toronto Raptors are one of the more interesting teams in the NBA and we say that for a few different reasons. This team has the ability to beat anybody on any given night, but also lose to anybody on any given night. They both enter this one at 6-4 in their last 10. However, Toronto has now won three straight games.
In those three games, they took down the Miami Heat, Washington Wizards, and Detroit Pistons. They’re finding ways to beat teams that they should be beating and that’s not something that we could have said throughout most of the season for them.

Although Toronto is a tough team to play, and they typically play teams hard and well, taking the 76ers, -5.5 doesn’t seem like a bad idea here. Considering that this one is going to be at home and the 76ers are 27-11 on their home court, and the Raptors are 12-24 away from the Six, it seems like a good idea to be all over Philadelphia tonight.
