Boston Bruins vs. Toronto Maple Leafs Betting Preview

We should have one of the more competitive games of the season, as the Boston Bruins will be taking on the Toronto Maple Leafs. Boston has undoubtedly been one of the top teams in all of hockey this season, and there’s even a good argument to be made that this team is going to easily win the Stanley Cup.

Although it’s still early in the season, and saying that is always a bit premature, Boston looks like nobody in the world can beat them at the moment. Even with Toronto having the second most points in the Atlantic Division and the third most in the Eastern Conference, it’s tough to imagine anybody beating the Bruins right now.

Great Bounce Back Spot for Bruins

There are a few different ways that we can look at this game from the Bruins’ perspective. They’ve been playing incredible hockey throughout the whole season, but they have struggled a bit recently, and that might be a good reason to back them in this game.

The Bruins have lost three games in a row, and considering that they’ve only lost 12 games all season, it truly shows how good this team really is. Going on a three-game skid isn’t normal for them, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see them bounce back.

Boston hasn’t been able to get things clicking recently, as neither their offense nor defense has been able to do the job. They have games where their offense isn’t scoring enough, and then games where their defense isn’t getting enough stops.

Will Maple Leafs Get a Huge Win?

The Toronto Maple Leafs come into this one playing some very impressive hockey throughout the season. They’ve been able to come away with impressive wins throughout their last 10 games and are currently 6-3-1 in that span with wins over the New York Rangers, Washington Capitals, Florida Panthers, and other impressive teams. What’s been working for them is certainly their attack as they’ve found ways to score five-plus goals in multiple games throughout this 10-game span.

They’ve also done a great job in the back in the net as goalie Ilya Samsonov is coming off of a highly impressive game against a tough Washington Capitals team where he saved 23 shots on 24-shot attempts. If Toronto is going to want any chance of winning this game, it’s all going to start on that side of the puck. They need to find a way to slow the Bruins down because, at this point, it’s certainly going to be the Bruins putting the pressure on the defense.

Boston Bruins vs. Toronto Maple Leafs Prediction

Because of how good the Bruins have been all season long, it almost feels wrong not taking them here. They’ve also lost three games in a row, and personally, that’s something that I do look for when thinking about taking bets for really good teams.

It would make sense if they find a way to win this game because of their recent struggles, and considering that they’re still -130 odds, it might not be a bad idea to back them tonight. Toronto is going to make this game interesting, but the Bruins have simply been too good recently to go against them.
