In Big Ten action on Tuesday, the Maryland Terrapins are in Madison to take on the Wisconsin Badgers. Maryland is 14-12 on the season, and coming off a loss at home to Illinois on Saturday. The Terrapins are 4-6 in their last 10 games.
For Wisconsin, they are also coming off a loss. The Badgers lost on the road to the Iowa Hawkeyes on Saturday. On the season, Wisconsin is 17-9. The Badgers have lost six out of their last ten games.

Terrapins Tough 2024
It has been a tough season for Kevin Willard and the Maryland Terrapins. Maryland has not won back to back games since the end of January, where they beat Iowa and Nebraska. In February, the Terrapins are 1-4, with their lone win coming once again at home against Iowa.
The Terrapins allowed 85 points, which was a season high, in the loss to Illinois. The Terrapins will have a hard time keeping up with that, as they score just 69.8 per game on the season. The top scorer for Maryland this season has been Jahmir Young. Young is one of the top scorers in the country with more than 21 per game.
The Terrapins are on the road again after this; as they will play at Rutgers. Following that, the Terrapins are at home for back to back games. First, it’s Northwestern, and then Indiana. The final game for Maryland in the regular season is on the road at Penn State.
Badgers Looking to Right the Ship
Greg Gard and his Wisconsin Badgers have had a similar month of February, and in fact, it has been even worse. The Badgers are 1-5 this month, with their lone win coming at home over Ohio State. Wisconsin lost four of their five games this month by single digits. The lone blowout was at Rutgers.
Wisconsin has three guys scoring double digits per game. AJ Storr is the leading scorer for the Badgers. Storr is scoring 16.5 points per game. The other two scoring double digits per game are Steven Crowl and Tyler Wahl. They are both just over 11 points per game.
The Badgers are at Indiana on February 27th, and then will finish their regular season with home games against Illinois and Rutgers, and a season finale on the road at the Purdue Boilermakers.
Badgers Top Terrapins
The Big Ten is still up for grabs at the top of the standings with Purdue coming to a loss on Sunday. The problem is Wisconsin found themselves out of the mix with several recent losses. Maryland has struggled to consistently win games all season, so they are also out of the mix. Look for a fun game here, but Wisconsin protects the Kohl Center and wins this game.
