Struggling Bearcats

Cincinnati is scoring 74.9 points per game. The Bearcats struggle at the free throw line, as one of the worst in the nation. Cincinnati is only making 68.2% of them. The top scorer for Cincinnati this season has been Dan Skillings. He has scored just 9 points in each of his last two games, after going for double figures in seven straight.
The Bearcats have three regular season games in March. Saturday, they host Kansas State. After that, they are on the road at Oklahoma, and then come home to host West Virginia.
Defensive Cougars
Even since their loss 78-65 on the road at Kansas, the Houston Cougars have been on fire. The Cougars allowed 65 or less in four straight games, before they went to overtime and allowed 76. The Cougars also went a stretch at the end of January, where they held teams to 54, 42 and 52 in three out of four games.
On the offensive end, it’s LJ Cryer that is leading the charger. Cryer is scoring 15 points per game. Jamal Shead is second on the team with 13.3. The other double digit scorer for Houston this season has been Emanuel Sharp, with 12.8 per game.
Houston’s final three games will start with back to back road games. The Cougars are at Oklahoma on Saturday and Central Florida after that. Houston will finish the regular season at home against Kansas.
Cougars Top Bearcats
Houston is really good on the defensive end. That is going to be a big time problem for the Cincinnati Bearcats. The Bearcats just struggle to put the ball in the basket when they need to. With this game being at Houston, it is hard to imagine that these two teams will be within 10 points of each other.
