Tennessee Volunteers at Missouri Tigers Betting Pick

Kentucky Wildcats at Tennessee Volunteers Betting Preview

In College Basketball on Tuesday, the Tennessee Volunteers are on the road at the Missouri Tigers. The Volunteers are looking for their 20th win of the season. Tennessee has won back-to-back games, including a 35-point win at home over Vanderbilt on Saturday.

For Missouri, it’s been a horrific season. The Tigers have dropped 12 straight games, and are now 8-17 on the season. The latest loss for the TIgers came on the road at Ole Miss on Saturday by three points.

The Tennessee Volunteers are -12.5 on the road. The total is listed at 146.5.

Volunteers Aiming for 20

The Tennessee Volunteers are aiming for their 20th win of the season. The Volunteers last loss came on the road back on February 10th at Texas A+M. That’s the lone loss in February for Coach Barnes team. Tennessee has notable wins over Kentucky and Arkansas this month as well.

Tennessee is getting a fantastic season from Dalton Knecht. The 6’6 star is scoring more than 20 points per game. Jonas Aidoo has been great for the Volunteers as well, with 11.7 points per game.

The Volunteers will play their final two games of February at home. Tennessee will host Texas A+M and then Auburn. Once March arrives, the Volunteers will play back to back road games at Alabama and South Carolina. The final game of the regular season is at home against the Wildcats of Kentucky.

Ugly Basketball for Tigers

Things are not pretty for Dennis Gates and his Missouri Tigers. The Tigers have not win a basketball game yet in 2024. The last win was at home over Central Arkansas on December 30th. The Tigers have lost their last two games at home, by double digits.

Missouri is 230th in all of College Basketball in offense. The Tigers are scoring just 72.2 points per game. Missouri has not been great at anything particular, but do rank in the Top 10 in free throw percentage; at 78.3%.  Sean East is the top scorer for the Tigers, with 16 points and 4.2 assists on the season.

The Tigers are on the road for the final two games of February. Missouri will play at Arkansas and Florida. Missouri then starts the month of March with back to back home games. The Tigers will host Ole Miss and then Auburn. Missouri finishes their regular season on the road at LSU.

Tigers Keep it Close

The Missouri Tigers would love to find a way to win at some point this season in conference play. The problem is – it will not be Tennessee. The Volunteers have found themselves in a pretty good spot right now, and playing solid basketball. When push comes to shove, we cannot pick the Missouri Tigers to win. But, we can pick them to cover.

They keep it close, but lose again. Bet the Missouri Tigers +12.5 over the Tennessee Volunteers on Tuesday!
