Kenny Goins hit a go-ahead 3-pointer to take the lead with 35 seconds left, and the Spartans hung on by 1. Cassius Winston led the way for the Spartans with 20 points on 9 of 23 shooting and led the team in assists with 10. Xavier Tillman tallied 19 points on 8 of 12 shooting and Goins scored 10 points on 4 of 12 shooting. Tillman and Goins tied for the team lead in rebounds with 9.
Culver Leading Texas Tech
Sophomore superstar Jarrett Culver does it all for this Red Raider squad. He leads the team in all three major statistical categories. He scores 18.9 points, grabs 6.4 rebounds, and dishes out 3.8 assists each game. He is followed by Davide Moretti and Matt Mooney, who are averaging 11.6 and 11 points per game, respectively. Moretti is shooting 46.3% from deep. Tariq Owens adds 8.9 points and 5.8 rebounds a game. The offense has been solid for Texas Tech this season, averaging 73.1 a game and are shooting 47.2% from the floor, but they will look to get it done with their defense.
The Michigan State Spartans are led by point guard Cassius Winston, who is averaging 18.9 points a game and is also the leading assister with 7.6 a game, and he grabs 3 rebounds per contest. Nick Ward adds 13.2 points a game, and Xavier Tillman scores 10.1 a game. Matt McQuaid chips in 9.8 points per game and is shooting 42.2% from deep. Kenny Goins is the leading rebounder with 9 boards a game to go with 8.1 points per contest. The Spartans are putting up 79.2 points a game on 48.8% shooting.

Michigan State comes in at -2.5. Both teams have taken out the top teams in their region and are just 2 wins away from a national title. Michigan State has battled injuries all year and is still not fully healthy. Texas Tech is clicking on offense right now, and that is scary as they have one of the best defenses in the country to go with it. I think the Red Raiders will be able to contain Cassius Winston and will be able to frustrate Michigan State offensively and I think they will punch their ticket to the title game.
