Brandon Pfaadt will make the start in this game for Arizona. Pfaadt did not last long in his first career postseason start last week in Milwaukee. In that game, he allowed seven hits and three runs over 2.2 innings.

In the Game One win, the Diamondbacks scored six runs in the first inning and three more in the second and never looked back. Then, in Game Two, Arizona got three in the first inning, proving to be all they needed. Zac Gallen did the rest, going 5.2 innings of solid baseball and turning it over to the bullpen.
Corbin Carroll, the National League Rookie of the Year, has gone 3-7 and scored three runs in the series so far. That’s after picking four hits in 7 at-bats in the series win against Milwaukee. Christian Walker has postseason hits as well for Arizona. Walker led the team in home runs during the regular season with 33.
Dodgers Looking to Break Out
The Los Angeles Dodgers played their final regular season game on October 1st and then did not play until October 7th; they now have days off before each of these postseason games.
While not an excuse, it is worth a discussion, one that is valid. The Dodgers are rusty and have scored just four runs in two games so far.
Freddie Freeman is 1-6 in the postseason so far. His big at bat on Monday was a strike out looking against Zac Gallen, with runners on base. Mookie Betts is another one; Los Angeles needs to get going. He is 0-7 so far in the series.
Dodgers Live Another Day
The Los Angeles Dodgers are in big trouble, but we expect them to live another. Lance Lynn has some playoff experience, and the Dodgers bats will get to Brandon Pfaadt in this game. Getting away from Los Angeles may help calm the nerves of the Dodgers bats.
