The Oregon Ducks and Washington Huskies will mix it up in the biggest game of Week 7 on the College Football slate. Both teams are 5-0 on the season and ranked within the Top 10 in the College Football rankings.
Both teams have high hopes of getting to the College Football Playoff and know this is a massive game for implications. It also is two of the remaining three teams in the Pac-12 without a loss.
The Washington Huskies are favorites at home in this game. Washington is listed at -3 over Oregon.
Washington Top Offense in College Football
Michael Penix Jr. is one of the front runners to win the 2023 Heisman. The former Indiana Hoosiers signal-caller has been outstanding, with just shy of 2,000 passing yards so far this season. Penix Jr has 16 touchdown passes as well this season. The Huskies lead all of College Football with 571 yards per game, and 446 are via the air.
The top target for Penix Jr has been Rome Odunze, with 32 receptions and four touchdowns on the season. The Huskies’ wins this season all came in the month of September.
This will be their first game in the month of October. They started with back-to-back home wins against Boise State and Tulsa before winning at Michigan State. The Huskies then beat California at home and on September 30th at Arizona.
The Huskies are at home in Week 8 against Arizona State and will finish the month of October on the road at Stanford.
Nix Getting it Done As Well
Make no mistake, Bo Nix is having a great season as well. The Ducks quarterback is also a great player, can do a ton on the field, and has all season. Nix has thrown for 1,459 yards and 15 touchdowns, with just one interception on the season. The quarterback has also rushed for 87 yards on the season as well.
The Ducks are the second highest scoring team in all of College Football. Oregon has scored 51.6 points per game. The Ducks offensive is ranked fourth in total offense with 560.8 yards per game. The passing game has thrown for 330.6 yards per game, and the rushing game is at 227.2 yards per game.
Oregon has wins over Portland State, Texas Tech, Hawaii, Colorado and Stanford. After this game, the Ducks will host Washington State, and then go on the road and take on the Utah Utes.
Huskies Top Ducks
This is going to be an incredible College Football game. Undoubtedly, these two teams are two of the best in all of College Football.
Both these teams are incredible on the offensive side and continue to improve on the defensive side. This will be back and forth, and no doubt will see touchdowns galore. In the end, though, Penix Jr is the best player in this game.
