Washington Huskies @ UCLA Bruins Betting Preview

With only about one month before madness starts, it is time to really focus on college basketball and all of the great matchups that will close out the conference schedule.

Some PAC-12 action will take place on Thursday night when the Washington Huskies are on the road to take on the UCLA Bruins at Pauley Pavillion.

As far as records go, these two teams are experiencing vastly different seasons, and certainly, the Huskies have their work cut out for them if they want to even have a chance at securing a bid to a postseason tournament.

UCLA had been hot out of the gates and stayed hot for most of the season, however, they dropped their last two games to USC and Arizona and really put on poor displays of offense.

Still, for this particular matchup, the Brubins are better in just about every statistical category you can think of, but anything can happen in conference play.

The Bruins find themselves favored at home over the Huskies at -17.5.

Securing their footing in conference play

The Huskies are not a bad basketball team. They have a go-to scoring forward averaging over 17 points per game in Keion Brooks, and he is as good as any player in the PAC-12.

Brooks, who is their leading scorer, is coming off a 25-point outing in a loss to Arizona. The toughest draw for the Huskies in this matchup is looking at UCLA’s home record, which is 11-0.

In the last 10 games for Washington, their defense has given up a whopping 76 points per game. It is no secret why they are under .500 in that stretch.

This is not the game to want to tighten up your defense against an opponent like UCLA. Their work will be cut out for them.

Bouncing back after two straight losses

The Bruins have played exceptionally well over the course of the season, but their last two games were just a dismal display on both sides of the ball.

With a matchup against the Huskies, this serves as the perfect bounce-back game for their roster as they look to regain their footing towards the top of the PAC-12.

Be on the lookout for their leading scorer Jamie Jaquez Jr. who is averaging 16 points per game on the season.

The Bruins will look to be fast and push the pace of this game. Pairing that with their excellent three-point shooting on their home court should give them the edge without question.

Huskies @ Bruins Betting Prediction

Conference play in college basketball is something that lends itself to some whacky finishes and surprising results.

The game on Thursday night between the Washington Huskies and the UCLA Bruins will not be anything out of the ordinary.

UCLA needs this bounceback win after two straight losses, and they will be able to take care of business against the Huskies on their home court.

It will be a big night from behind the arc, so take the Bruins at -17.5 on their home court.
