College Football Playoff Implication Games in Week 12

In College Football Week 11 – there were no major shuffles at the top of the College Football playoff standings. This is going to be an interesting final weeks of the season, and we are excited to see how it fares. Looking ahead at Week 12, here are the games that we want to keep an eye on:

Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Minnesota Golden Gophers

The Ohio State Buckeyes have this game, and then will play the massive game against the Michigan Wolverines. That one is going to be a massive one, and one that decides who gets to take on Iowa in the Big Ten title game. Before that though, the Buckeyes will look to get by a Minnesota team that is still in search of one more win to become bowl eligible.

Georgia Bulldogs at Tennessee Volunteers

The back to back national champion Georgia Bulldogs are going to find themselves in a big time game here. Georgia is going through a tough portion of their schedule, and a trip to Knoxville is not going to be a cake walk. Brock Bowers is looking to get back for this game. He is a massive piece of the puzzle offensively for the Bulldogs. This should be a fun game, and a chance at a possible upset?

Michigan Wolverines at Maryland Terrapins

No Coach Harbaugh, no problem in Week 11. The Wolverines are emotional, and the Wolverines are ticked off. JJ McCarthy was not even needed all that much in the big win last week. Blake Corum is also one of the best running backs in the country. A trip to Maryland should not be a major issue. The Terrapins are already bowl eligible on the season, and coming off a thrilling 13-10 win on the road at Nebraska.

North Alabama Lions at Florida State Seminoles

Not much we need to say here. The Florida State Seminoles are not going to lose this game. The Seminoles will use this game to get themselves ready for the season finale against Florida. The Seminoles also have to get by the Atlantic Coast Conference title game to assure their spot in the College Football playoff. Jordan Travis and his Seminoles have won 10 straight, 11 should be pretty simple.

Washington Huskies at Oregon State Beavers

Just like the Georgia Bulldogs, another team will get tested on the road. The Beavers are a team that would love to take down their conference rival for the first time. Bo Nix and company put up 35 points, and have now beat USC and Utah in back to back weeks. The Huskies also have a win over Oregon on the season; a win here would assure them in the Pac-12 title game.

Oregon Ducks at Arizona State Sun Devils

The Ducks, with one loss on the season, are on the outside looking in. Byt, Bo Nix and his Ducks are not that far off. A win here would get them some chance at revenge in their only loss of the season; at Washington. Make sure the Huskies do not overlook Arizona STate, as they are coming off a thrilling win at UCLA last week. The Sun Devils have played solid football as of late.

Texas Longhorns at Iowa State Cyclones

Coach Sarkisian and his Longhorns have just the one loss; which came in the Red River Rivalry against Oklahoma. The Longhorns are 9 point favorites here, but this Iowa State team is one that will put a scare into them. Texas will be missing their top running back Jonathan Brooks, who is out for the season with a knee injury. The Longhorns will need to be on high alert as they enter Ames for the final time as a member of the Big 12.

Those are the games we need to watch when it comes to the National Title picture for the 2023 College Football Playoff. Enjoy the games and good luck!
