The Chicago Cubs and Atlanta Braves are set to play the final game of their three game series. The Cubs are looking to get back on track after losing the first two games of the series. Chicago remains in second place in the National League Central. The Cubs are 24-19 on the season.

For the Atlanta Braves, they are now 26-13. The Braves are playing well, but still trail the red-hot Philadelphia Phillies in the National League East. Atlanta scored 7 runs in the first four innings of the win on Tuesday.

The Atlanta Braves are -190 in this game over the Chicago Cubs.

Chicago Cubs

Javier Assad is set to pitch in this game for the Chicago Cubs. The 26 year old has made 8 starts this season. Over 42.1 innings, he has struck out 35 batters and walked 14. He sits with a 3-0 record and a 1.70 earned run average.

Chicago in the loss on Tuesday picked up just three hits in the game. The loss on Monday, the Cubs grabbed five hits. The team batting average for the Cubs has dropped down to .236 on the  season, which is just inside the Top 20 in Major League Baseball. The top hitter for the Cubs has been Nico Hoerner with his .269 average, along with Christopher Morel, with 9 homeruns. Hoerner will not play in this game with a knee injury.

Chicago hosts the Pittsburgh Pirates for a four game series following this game. The Cubs then remain at home for three against Atlanta. They then head out on the road for their visit to St. Louis to battle the Cardinals.

Atlanta Braves

The Atlanta Braves will send veteran Charlie Morton to the mound. The 40 year old is 3-0 on the season with a 3.14 earned run average. Morton has tossed 43 innings, and struck out 40 batters, while walking 14. In his last start, he struck out 7 in 7 innings.

Atlanta pounded out 9 hits and scored 7 runs in the win on Tuesday. The offense was great, but so was left hander Chris Sale. Sale struck out 9 over 7 innings. Offensively, Matt Olson drove in four runs, including a 2 on, 2 out homerun in the fourth inning. Michael Harris also added his fourth bomb of the season. The Braves now have 43 on the season.

The Braves will host the San Diego Padres for a four game series over the weekend. After that, the Braves are in Chicago for a rematch against the Cubs, and then a three game series in Pittsburgh to end the week.

Braves Complete Sweep

We like Morton to beat Assad in this game. Both pitchers have thrown well, but in this one, the veteran gets the job done. The offense for the Braves does their job again, and they win the game.

When we go to bet on this game, we are going to take the Atlanta Braves -190 over the Chicago Cubs. Enjoy the game and best of luck with all your Major League Baseball betting!
