GGPoker recently kicked off the ongoing 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online. The thrilling poker series will run from August 20 to October 2, featuring 33 bracelet tournaments whose buy-ins range between $108 and $25,000.
Still, a $5,000 WSOP Online Main Event will culminate in the series. Here are its kickoff events’ highlights.
Vinicius Steves Wins the $300 Gladiators of Poker Opener
The event attracted 9,488 players who exceeded its $2,500,000 guarantee to create a $2,647,152 prize pool. But only 1,135 entrants advanced to Day 2 after securing at least $651 each.
Vinicius Steves beat all his opponents to win $234,707 and a WSOP bracelet. Maher Achour finished second with $173,241 despite Steves being among the shortest stacks earlier in the action.

Or “Nezer21” Nezer won his first WSOP gold bracelet after winning the $108 Bankroll Builder Bounty. The tournament had 7,619 players and a $761,900 pool. Nezer defeated “Micros” in the tournamnent’s last hand.
The champion collected $27,554 bounties and got a $31,330 prize.
So, this was his second-largest score after the $63,215 he won after finishing second at the 2021 Swiss Poker Open’s side tournament. Only the leading 800 entrants cashed in the Bankroll Builder Bounty.

Sergei Koliakov Dominated the $2,100 Bounty NLH Championship
GGPoker held its first $2,100 Bounty NLH Championship in WSOP Online. Six hundred sixty-seven signed up for it and formed a $1,354,000 prize pool.
Sergei “Meruemu” Koliakov eliminated Dicky “Floatinworld” Tsang as the runner-up to win a gold bracelet and the $158,345 top prize. The latter took home $85,188.
