Chino Rheem, a 43-year-old poker player, has won numerous events in his professional career. They include the PokerGO Tour (PGT), European Poker Tour (EPT) Main Event, World Poker Tour (WPT), the 2022 U.S. Poker Open $15,000 Pot-Limit Omaha tournament and the 2022 PGT Heads-Up Showdown.
Still, the pro bagged the 2023 Poker Masters $10,000 Buy-In No-Limit Hold’em event on September 19. It attracted 91 players who formed a $910,000 prize pool.
Rheem won the tournament and received $218,400, hence increasing his lifetime poker earnings to over $13 million. His latest victory earned him 540 Card Player Player of the Year (POY) points, which improved his position in the current POY race to the top 350. Nevertheless, the pro garnered 218 PGT points and is fourth in the Poker Masters leaderboard.

Final Day Highlights
Only six players advanced to the tournament’s final day as Jeremy Ausmus was busted late in Day 1 in seventh place with $45,500. He has won one title so far this year and has almost $2.4 million in POY winnings. Still, the player is 10th in the PGT and POY leaderboards.
Jonathan Little was the chip leader when the final day’s action kicked off. Daniel Negreanu got busted early in sixth place after his pocket sevens lost a preflop to Brock Wilson’s A-5 suited. Rheem doubled up in five-handed action using A-K to face Chris Brewer’s A-J.
A similar game played between Saliba and Brewer. But the latter had A-K at that time that, reduced Saliba’s stack and sent them packing in the fifth position with $72,800.
Rheem got a huge double-up after using pocket queens from the big blind to three-bet Little’s raise that they made under the gun. The latter used 8-7 suited to four-bet shove while the former called. Fortunately, the pocket pair dominated and gave Rheem a vital stack lead.
Brewer got in a tricky position after using Q-3 suited up to go all-in against Wilson’s pocket fives. The latter used a small pair to flop quads and sent the former home in fourth place with $91,000.
Little’s AClub Suit7Club Suit outran Wilson’s QClub SuitQHeart Suit. The former got a chip lead from an ace on the flop. Wilson staked his remaining chips on the 10Spade Suit7Diamond Suit3Heart Suit4Heart Suit board using JClub Suit10Heart Suit.
Rheem had an over 3.5:1 stack advantage over Little when their battle began. The former used
KHeart SuitJHeart Suit to open from the button, and Little called with QClub Suit9Heart Suit. The flop revealed QSpade SuitJClub Suit9Diamond Suit as Little used nines and queens to check. The 7Club Suit earned Rheem the title and pot, while Little took home a $154,700 prize.
