Sam Trickett has been very busy as of late, earning the runner up position at the WSOP Big One, signing as an ambassador for the ISPT and now the poker pro has made the news yet again. Sam Trickett cleaned up at the 2012 British Poker Awards, by earning three top awards. Trickett was awarded the Player of the Year, Best Cash Player and Best Tournament Player award.
The British Poker Awards took place aboard the H.M.S. President, located in London, and the best of the best in the Brits poker industry were rewarded with top awards. Top players were in attendance at the event alongside Trickett, including Vanessa Selbst, Liv Boeree and Chris Moorman.
Trickett was the big winner of the night as he earned the 2012 Player of the Year Award. But that wasn’t all for the poker pro, he also earned the best tournament player award as well as the best cash player award. After winning the Best Cash Player award, Trickett was able to claim the award for the second year in a row.
Trickett has done so well in the game of poker that he has won all an award in all three of the British Poker Award categories, claiming the Best Newcomer award the very first year of ceremonies in 2010. Trickett has had a very successful year this year, highlighted by his second place finish at the World Series of Poker Big One. The event had a buy-in of $1 million and Trickett was able to win just over $10 million for the second place finish, which propelled the player to the top of the British poker player’s chart.
It will be interesting to see how Trickett fares the rest of the year. The poker pro’s career continues to look promising and poker fans are excited to see where the pro will go from here.
