The 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) $10,000 Buy-In No-Limit Hold’em Main Event is ongoing. It attracted 10,043 players on its first day, but only 1,517 participants are remaining now. Still, 1507 players will win at least $15,000 each and there will be a $12,100,000 top payout.

How Is the Tournament Progressing?
Antonio Heredia has the largest stack and a better opportunity to win a bigger prize than the $49,610 he got after finishing fourth in the 2018 Los Angeles Poker Open $1,100 Main Event. Chance Kornuth is second on the chip standings, less than two big blinds behind Heredia.
The World Poker Tour (WPT) and three-time bracelet champion has been in great form of late. He has made 11 cashes in the past six weeks, reached five final tables, and won the Wynn Summer Classic $2,200 Mystery Bounty tournament. Still, Kornuth has increased his poker career earnings by over $3.6 million to $16.1 million.
The poker pro bagged $1,202,318 in the WSOP $250,000 Buy-In High Roller Bracelet tournament after finishing fifth. It was the first seven-figure payout in his career, and he can win over $1,000,000 in the ongoing event if he finishes among the top eight players.
Other players who had over 999,999 chips late in Day 3 included Pei Lei(bracelet champion), Michael Banducci(bracelet winner), Nicholas Rigby, Jonathan Dimmig(bracelet winner), Chris Brewer(two-time bracelet champion), Nikita Luther(bracelet champion), James Carroll(two-time WPT winner), David Moses(bracelet champion), Lok Chan( bracelet champion), Stephen Chidwick( two-time Card Player Player of the Year and bracelet champion), Shota Nakanishi(bracelet champion), Jesse Lonis(two-time bracelet champion), Yuri Dzivielevski(three-time bracelet champion), Jason Somerville(bracelet champion) and Maurice Hawkins(multiple-time WSOP Circuit Ring champion).
The Main Event’s previous champions who can bag the title are Scott Blumstein, Chris Moneymaker (2003 champion), Joe Cada (2009 champion), Jamie Gold (2006 winner), and Johnny Chan, who won two Main Events and ten WSOP bracelets in the past.
The $10,000 Buy-in Main Event’s Day 3 kicked off with 3,538 entrants, and over 2,000 of them exited after several hours of intense action. Some of the players who got busted were Brian Hastings (six-time bracelet champion), Anthony Zinno (four-time bracelet champion), Mike Matusow (four-time bracelet champion), Shaun Deeb (six-time bracelet winner), Tom Dwan and David Bach (three-time bracelet champion).
Only 1,517 entrants will resume playing on Day 4, July 10 at noon. There will be 4,000-8,000 blinds with an 8,000 big blind ante of up to 16 levels. The day’s average stack will comprise 397,218 chips which is slightly less than 50 big blinds.
