Police officers from Rapid City, South Dakota, are on the hunt for a lone robber who stole at Rapid City Casino using a knife on Wednesday. This was the second robbery incident at 777 Casino. KNBN, a local television station, reported that the holdup occurred at the West Main Street gaming property at 8 a.m.
Reports indicate that the knife-wielding robber commanded a casino worker to give them money. He fled immediately after the employee handed the money. His appearance suggests that he is Native American or Hispanic and is 5 feet 4 inches tall.
The casino employee stated that the robber wore a blue, white, and red mask, dark trousers, and a grey sweatshirt. Nevertheless, the officers didn’t disclose the amount of money the robber stole at the casino. Yet, no injuries were sustained during the incident.
Rapid City law enforcers haven’t yet identified the robber. Another suspect who robbed 777 Casino last Christmas Eve eloped with an unknown sum of money.
Five Players Get Apprehended in Michigan for Illegal Gambling
Five individuals recently appeared in court after law enforcers seized many gaming machines in Michigan in storefront operations’ raids. The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) disclosed the arrests after The State Road Spot and The Bristol Spot’s activities’ investigations ended. The two gaming venues are in Genesee County.
The police took 100 illegal gaming machines in two raids. Still, they seized 62 gift cards and over $29,000 in cash. Their report indicates they seized several gaming devices, 12 betting machines, and 23 computer towers at The Burton.
They took 11 gaming machines, 54 computer towers, and 65 gaming gadgets from The Davison gaming venue. The officers conducted the two raids on April 27, 2022, during which they apprehended Mary Larkin and Joseph Toporek, who face the following charges:
- Keeping a betting house
- Maintaining a gambling house for their personal gain
- Three counts of committing a crime using computers
- Three counts of illegally offering games without a license
Other suspects caught were Ghazwan Brikho, Shaun Bellah II, and Shaun Bellah Sr. Each of them faces these ten charges:
- Keeping a betting house

- Committing a crime using computers
- Running an illegal gambling operation without a license
- Conspiring to run a criminal enterprise
- Five counts of running a criminal enterprise
The suspects appeared in the Genesee County District Court in August and September. The police started investigating them after the MGCB was informed about Burton’s illegal gaming activity. The Gaming Control Board’s officers discovered about The Davison’s activities while investigating The Burton.
Henry Williams, MGCB’s Executive Director, stated that it is essential to be accountable when upholding justice in gaming for Michigan to have a transparent and fair industry. He added that the MGCB will continue suing illegal gaming operators.
