Today is filled with so many ranked and exciting games. The Bruins and the Wildcats must be included in one of the best games of the day.
Although Gonzaga faces off against Alabama today, the Bruins head to Kentucky to take on the Wildcats at home. UCLA has just come off a huge win against the Maryland Terrapins, which few people thought would turn out in the Bruins’ favor. The man that led the Bruins to victory was junior from UCLA Jaylen Clark.
Clark finished the game as the leading Bruins scoring with 19 points and added on six rebounds against the Terrapins. Clark helped the Bruins be able to pick up the win on the road 87-60.
The Wildcats have not really impressed me this year; they have not played a hard schedule at all. The only competitive team they played was Gonzaga, and the Bulldogs beat them by 16 points. UCLA is listed at -1.5 over Kentucky.
UCLA Bruins
I was dead wrong on my last pick with the UCLA Bruins against the Maryland Terrapins. The Bruins were able to impress me with having multiple players in double digits.
While having those players in double digits, the most impressive thing was that Coach Cronin was able to play 12 guys. That rarely happens in college basketball, especially against another ranked school like the Terrapins.
The guys you will need to watch throughout the game tonight will be Jaime Jaquez Jr., Jaylen Clark, and Adem Bona. These guys like to score the basketball, and I believe nothing will change while they are on the road at Kentucky.
Kentucky Wildcats
The Wildcats have a big test against the Bruins today to see if they are a tournament team. You must be able to beat the highest level of competition to be considered one of the best or even ranked. The Wildcats should not be ranked this high right away, as they have not faced and won a competitive game.
There are a few players to keep an eye on during tonight’s game, and those guys will be Oscar Tshiebwe, Antonio Reeves, and Jacob Toppin. Those will be the main guys that will help to compete for a possible win over the Bruins.
UCLA Bruins vs. Kentucky Wildcats Pick and Prediction
This game is one of those games that will either be a blowout or a final second shot. I believe that the Bruins will be able to put it to the Wildcats early and be able to win the game. Kentucky has a home-court advantage, which you see in why the line is so close for the game.
In tonight’s game, I believe that Jaylen Clark will have another outstanding game for the Bruins, which will boost them to wins by five or six. I am going to put my trust in the Bruins being able to defend the Wildcats at home and head back home 2-0.
