Phoenix Suns at Milwaukee Bucks NBA Finals Game 3 Betting Preview

Game 3 is upon us as the Bucks and Suns continue to do battle. So far, the home team has taken the first two and is looking extremely comfortable. That can all change in a flash, but this is a series that is just starting to take off. The third game will have each team showing its true colors, no doubt.

Devin Booker and Chris Paul have both turned in fantastic performances through the first two contests. They seem to thrive off the home crowd whenever they are playing in the Valley, so going on the road may be a little tough. They have won five of their last six on the road in these playoffs, though. The exception was a game 3 loss against the Clippers last round.

The Bucks have to dig deep. The stat on how they play at home is telling of how this may go. They have gone 7-1 on their own floor, the one loss coming when Trae Young exploded for 48 points in game 1 of the conference finals. And now that they are back in that comfortable building again, their chances of winning are the highest they have been in any game versus Phoenix.

Betting Lines: The game 3 spread is set at MIL -4. The over/under is sitting at 222 points.

Suns Seeking 3-0 Lead

No team in NBA Playoffs history has ever come back from 0-3 in a series. It’s hard to outdo a team for four games in a row, having been crushed in the prior three. Phoenix is trying to put a stranglehold on things with a road win, having already taken the first two games out West. Given how strong the team has played, it is no surprise to see things sitting as they are.

Mikal Bridges and Jae Crowder combined for 38 points and 17 rebounds in game 2, which is crazy given that they are both just role players. As great as the backcourt duo has been, it was those guys who helped deliver a win for their team. It came on a day where DeAndre Ayton shot just 4-10.

Bench scoring would help secure a win, especially from Cam Johnson and Cam Payne. Other than that, Booker going off would guarantee a 3-0 lead.

Bucks Look for First Finals Win

Prior to this series, the Bucks had not made it to the Finals since 1974. And they have not win it all in 50 years, in 1991. The team is in a bit of a tough spot right now, but they do have some time to turn everything around. Giannis Antetokounmpo poured in 42 points and 12 rebounds on a hyperextended knee in game 2, and it was not even enough.

They will need Jrue Holiday to learn how to start making shots. And Khris Middleton has not been able to hit his shots, as he sometimes goes through struggle phases. Mike Budenholzer has begun to shrunk his rotation, and it appears that Pat Connaughton and Jeff Teague are taking things over.

Middleton and Holiday scoring 55 combined points would go a long way towards a Bucks win.

Bucks Win

Milwaukee will take the home win to make it a 2-1 score.
