Los Angeles Angels at Seattle Mariners Betting Pick

National League West Division rivals square off on Sunday afternoon in Seattle as the Mariners host the Los Angeles Angeles. Seattle has won the first two games of this series, and this will be the final game before the All-Star Break.

The Angels are right back to the .500 mark at 44-44, and this was supposed to be a better year in Los Angeles. Joe Maddon’s club currently sits in fourth place in the division, and making a playoff run doesn’t seem likely.

Seattle has won three straight games overall to improve to 48-42 on the season. The Mariners are still looking to fill some holes, but this is a team to watch out for in the second half of the year.

The Seattle Mariners are -115 in the series finale against the Los Angeles Angels.

Angels Can Mash

Mike Trout hasn’t played for the Angels in weeks, but this team continues to put up some monster offensive numbers. This is a deep lineup, but they also have a superstar in Shohei Ohtani leading the way.

Ohtani leads the league with 33 home runs and 70 RBIs, and he has already made his presence felt in this series. The two-way phenom is going to need some help on Sunday, and the Angels have been slumping a bit.

Jose Suarez will take the ball on Sunday and look to end this losing streak. Suarez is 3-2 with a 2.37 ERA, and he has the ability to deliver a solid performance.

Seattle Pitching Staff is Delivering

The Mariners have a team ERA of 4.39 on the year, but those numbers have continued to improve as the season has gone along. Seattle has given up just three total runs in its last three games and will use that same formula on Sunday.

Hector Santiago is scheduled to start, and he is just 1-1 with a 3.38 ERA this season. Santiago is not expected to go very deep in this game, and the Mariners will have to get some innings from their bullpen.

Mitch Haniger has blasted 20 home runs and driven in 52 runs this season, but the Mariners are not a great offensive team. Seattle is near the bottom of the league in most offensive categories and will have to hit well on Sunday.

Mariners Playing Too Well

The Angels do have an offense that can put up runs in a hurry, but they just aren’t hitting well in this series. Ohtani continues to deliver, but it’s going to take a big offensive effort to win this game.

Seattle is still looking for more offense as the season moves along, but this pitching staff has really stepped up. The Mariners are going to get another strong outing today, and they will find just enough offense to win.

This has been a great run for the Seattle Mariners, and they are going to end the first half on a big note. Bet the Seattle Mariners -115 as they pick up a third straight win over the Los Angeles Angels.
