Milwaukee Bucks vs. Miami Heat Game 4 Betting Preview

One more win from the #5 Heat will send the top-seeded Bucks back home to Milwaukee. On Sunday in Orlando, FL, it’s all on the line for the DPOY and likely MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Bucks. They are certainly feeling the pressure on them to try and make history.

A 3-0 series comeback is certainly possible if we’re talking about the Red Sox or the NHL. But it is never something you want to have to rally from. Milwaukee is now in this seemingly impossible hole. No NBA team has ever come back from an 0-3 series deficit since the best-of-7 format came to be.

The Heat will hope to slow them down and put this series to bed. But, let’s take a moment and appreciate all that they have accomplished this season. They remade a large chunk of their roster from last year, and 2/5 of their starting lineup was undrafted. They have found talent in all areas to help build something special.

Can Jimmy Butler lead a team to the Conference Finals for the first time as the alpha?

ODDS:

Miami is favored by just 0.5 points, with the over/under set at 220.

Milwaukee Tries to Survive

Mike Budenholzer will not be playing Stayin’ Alive by the Bee Gees in the locker room. The team already knows what they have to do, and it’s just win, baby. They need to take it quarter by quarter, as there is no real reason to picture this as a game, but as a quarter-by-quarter situation.

Down 0-3, you have to tread lightly. Come out with the aggression, and don’t let Miami get comfortable at any point. But still, play with a sense of urgency. If your Antetokounmpo, avoid foul trouble so you can finally play big minutes. And if you’re Khris Middleton, don’t pass up any open looks.

These two guys will ultimately dictate how well or poorly the Bucks play as a team. They do have a win in them, somewhere.

Miami Looks for Shocking Sweep

What a story the Heat have been in 2020. As soon as Butler got here, everything just started clicking. His leadership, combined with the famed “Heat Culture,” has helped the team get to a position where the ECF is right there, waiting for them to arrive.

Butler has been exceptional in the fourth quarters of the series, with Jae Crowder and Goran Dragic continuing to make big shots. Tyler Herro is playing with extreme confidence, and Bam is defending like an All-NBA First-Team player.

If Bam Adebayo goes down or gets into any foul trouble, their defense will suffer. But he generally plays every second that Antetokounmpo does. He is the true leader of the defense, with Butler being the vocal guy that carries the squad. Will this be the end of the series?

Bucks Survive

No, this is not the end yet. The likely two-time reigning MVP will help his team win one. Not dead yet.
