Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco 49ers Betting Preview

The Rams and 49ers will battle on Monday night in an exciting contest between AFC West teams.

The Cardinals took a loss to the Panthers in blowout fashion, so this is a chance for L.A. to now keep pace with them. As they did lose Robert Woods for the season, the receiving corps is going to be a bit different.

With Woods now being out, Van Jefferson moves up one wrung on the ladder. And now, new addition Odell Beckham Jr. might end up being the team’s #2 wideout opposite of Cooper Kupp. The offense has been running beautifully through Matthew Stafford all season, while the run game and defense do enough work. There are no obvious weak links here, and this is a squad that is going to be dangerous.

As for the 49ers, they have had some good moments this year but sit at just 3-5. The ongoing question about whether or not to use Jimmy Garoppolo or Trey Lance hangs overhead, as other things fluctuate as well. This is not the year they envisioned for themselves, but better days may well be ahead. If they can play well here, perhaps they can start to turn it around.

This is a game that will feature some impressive defense and plenty of big plays. It is a must-see battle.

Betting Odds & Lines

The spread for the game is favoring visiting L.A. -3.5. The over/under is sitting at 50 points. The Rams moneyline is -185, and the 49ers are +155.

Rams Seek to Improve to 8-2

There have been some incredible performances by the Rams this year, and now they will be looking for an eighth win in ten games. The fact they were able to make a Super Bowl run with Jared Goff at the helm shows that when you have a guy who is THAT much better and more experienced, they could be even better now.

There is not a hole that needs to be filled here any longer. The additions of OBJ and Von Miller have done a lot to make them even better, and both guys should play a large role moving forward.

They need to beware of the pass rush.

Niners Seeking Key Upset

3-5 is not how the Niners wanted to begin the season. Since winning the NFC a few years ago, they haven’t had much on the positive side of the bag to recall. They have been making a lot of mistakes and have some serious work that they will have to do to turn things around.

Their secondary has allowed too many big plays, while Jimmy G has not spread the ball out very well. It’s pretty clear how much he fancies throwing it to Deebo Samuel. Elijah Mitchell is going to get a lot of chances to run the ball effectively, and if he does, they just might have an opportunity.

49ers Come Away with the Loss

Sorry San Fran, but you won’t be able to get it done. 3-6 is the new record.
