The Dallas Stars take on the San Jose Sharks for what’s expected to be one of the better NHL games of the night. Dallas has been one of the top teams in hockey all season long, and while San Jose has struggled, they’ve shown the ability to compete in certain games throughout the season. Unfortunately, they’re playing some of their worst hockey of the year at the moment as they currently sit at 2-5-3 in their last 10 games and have lost three in a row. Because of that, it’s likely that Dallas should be able to come away with the win.

If Dallas comes out and continues doing what they’ve been able to do throughout the entire season, this is a game that they should easily be able to come away with. There’s a reason why this team has the most points in the Central Division, and they’re going to look to continue playing at an elite level in this one. They’ve been able to do whatever they want on both sides of the puck, and that all starts with who’s behind the net. Jake Oettinger has been incredible this season, as he has a safe percentage of 93% and is also 20-6-4 when he’s starting games.
Dallas also has some impressive guys that can put the puck in the back of the net, like Jamie Benn and many others. There’s a reason why this team is expected to have multiple All-Stars this season and even have a chance of winning a Stanley Cup.
Will San Jose Shock Dallas?
While the San Jose Sharks haven’t necessarily played the best this season, and there are major calls for concern, this is a game that they could potentially shock Dallas in if they come out and play the hockey that everybody knows that they can. This is going to be one of their more difficult games of the season, but they’ve also played three of the better teams in hockey throughout the past three games, and that’s certainly a reason why this team hasn’t been able to get a win throughout that span. They lost by two to the Los Angeles Kings, six against the Edmonton Oilers, and one goal against the New Jersey Devils.
Losing three games in a row is never going to be looked at as any type of success, but there has to be some context given when talking about who they’ve played throughout the past few games. There’s a reason why this team has struggled in their last 10, and that’s all because of the competition that they’ve played.

With how much better Dallas has been this season and with the way that the Sharks have struggled recently, it certainly isn’t a bad idea to think about taking them possibly on the 60-minute line, considering that you can get much better odds than if you were to just take them to win the game outright.
