Atlanta Hawks at Golden State Warriors Betting Odds and Predictions

This matchup would have been the first between two players that sometimes appear as mirror images, with Trae Young trying to play exactly like Stephen Curry. But alas, Curry continues to sit with his groin strain and will not be able to face Young for a while.

The Dubs come in off a tough loss to the Clippers, one in which they had a lot of tension in the final huddle after Draymond failed to spot KD open, hollering for the ball. They have a rare 2-game losing streak.

Hawks

At 3-10, this has not been the start this team has wanted, but you have to look at positives on a rebuilding team. Trae Young is averaging 18.5 points and 8.2 assists per game, leading the team in both categories, though he is shooting just 28% from deep. His fellow rookie, Omari Spellman, also a starter, is averaging seven points and five rebounds per game, and is somebody who has a lot of value. Taurean Prince is averaging 15, Bazemore 14.6, and Alex Len rounds out the four guys in double-figures at 10.4 per night, as he’s added the three-point shot to his arsenal.

As mentioned above, we cannot judge this team on wins and losses, at least until at least next season, when they’ve had a chance to grow. A poor record this season means another chance at a high draft pick to pair with Trae Young. They will have their hands full tonight, though.

Warriors

After losing their second game in a row last night, falling in OT to the Clippers, this team has to be a bit frustrated. Had Draymond given it to KD instead of trying to make the play himself in the waning moments, the result may have been a little different. Nevertheless, this is another game they have to play without Steph Curry, who is hopeful to return in the team’s next game after tonight. They are still very talented without him, the but offense just never runs the same. They did get Shaun Livingston back last night, but it didn’t help them much.

Draymond was not playmaking as much as usual last night, as he was really only good for the 14 rebounds he pulled down. They finally got a good performance from Andre Iguodala, who was averaging less than 3.0 points per game prior to his 13 points in 33 minutes performance last night. But against Atlanta, they should be able to right the ship.

Warriors End Mini-Skid, Knock Off Hawks In Blowout

Yeah, we’re taking this one as a blowout, with Golden State not allowing things to escalate any further then they have already. Led by the sharpshooting of Durant and Klay, they will have more than enough to get the job done.

Trae Young will post an impressive double-double, and will definitely be hearing from Golden State’s stars afterwards with some future advice.
