It will not be long now at the Odeon West End Cinema in Leicester Square, that the Word Series of Poker Championship Europe will officially begin.
Starting at 11 a.m., the first ever WSOP bracelets given outside of Las Vegas will be up for grabs. This will more than likely be the most prestigious tournament ever held in Europe and WSOP officials hope just the beginning of things to come.
There are already some big poker names committed to playing in the inaugural event and some already flashing WSOP gold. The poker stars committed include, Daniel Negreanu, Doyle Brunson, Phil Ivey, Allen Cunningham, Eric Seidel, Gus Hanson, Jennifer Harman, Phil Hellmuth, David Ulliot and Jamie Gold.
Phil Hellmuth and David Ulliot will have a question and answer period during the press conference. These international rivals are no stranger to controversy and there will be surely some dramatics played out during this session.
The £ 2,500 H.O.R.S.E. tournament will start directly following the press conference and is scheduled to run through Sept. 8th. Then the following two days will consist of the £ 5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event.
