RunGood Poker Series: Jennings Wins His First Title

Greg Jennings managed to win the RunGood Poker Series Downstream Main Event that required the buy-in of $575 over the weekend. This is his first RNPS title, and he managed to earn a total of $38,179 — not a bad investment at all! Apart from the money prize, Jennings also managed to win the Signature Championship Ring. He had a great run and managed to top the field that consisted of 332 entries.

Jennings has a lot of experience playing this type of event, but he never actually managed to claim the title in one of them. Yet, he also had extraordinary results as he finished second as many as two times in the RGPS Main Event.

Moreover, he was also fourth once. In other words, he was ready to make it to the end for a long time, and he finally managed to achieve his dream and win his first RunGood Poker Series Main Event title.

He has amassed a total of $758,250 from playing poker tournaments, and after reaching the final table a total of six times in RGPS Main Events, he was able to win the final prize. He came to the tournament for Day 1c and did not have any re-entries, claiming the title in one go.

After winning the title, he stated that RunGood had been pretty good to him in the past and that the latest one was the most special as he managed to win it.

The second day of the tournament began with 62 players returning to the tables, and only the top 36 were included in the money list. The player who was the last to hit the rail before the bubble was Charles Aron, an attorney who lost an exciting three-way all-in.

The pace of the tournament was pretty fast, and it didn’t take long for it to narrow down to the last three tables. In fact, it was also down to the final table pretty quickly, as the players were ready to play the last part of the event by 6 pm local time.

The Final Table Results

The remaining nine players were all eager to take their chance to win the title, but some of them were not so lucky. The first one to hit the rail was Matt Donaldson, who managed to earn a total of $4,001. He was soon followed by Travis Speck, who ended up eighth and earned $4,648.

The next one in line was John Moore for $5,611, and Larry Scharnhorst shortly followed for $6,640. Fifth place was reserved for John Lopez and a prize of $8,466, while Patrick Brown ended up fourth for $11,288. The last player to hit the rail before heads-up play was Marvin Donaldson, who earned $16,185.

The last two players who faced each other were Jennings and Tommy Smith. Jennings managed to take an early lead and did not take long to complete the tournament, with Smith earning $24,178.
