WSOP Final Table — Who Will Be the Poker Champion in 2020?

The World Series of Poker is hosting the final table on December 28, meaning we’ll soon find out who’ll become the next WSOP champion and win a hefty reward. Let’s take a look at some of the players who made it to the very end and their thoughts on the final table.

Harrison Dobin

Harrison Dobin is a recreational poker player who probably wouldn’t believe the future self that he would wound up playing a $10,000 online tournament, let alone making it to the final table. He is not experienced playing online poker tournaments, and his past poker action usually involved playing small-stakes cash games and tourneys.

However, it took a pandemic for Dobin to start focusing on poker more than ever, and that turned out to be quite lucrative for him.

Ryan Hagerty

Ryan Hagerty is a well-known name in the world of online poker, as he has managed to amass almost $2 million in online tournament earnings. The 28-year-old player is, without a doubt, one of the most experienced online players in the world at the moment.

He wasn’t sure whether to participate in the tournament at all, so he sold 50% of his action upon entering the tournament. It means that some of his shareholders are definitely going to get a hefty ROI.

Shawn Stroke

Shawn Stroke is an experienced poker player who already had a chance to win a gold bracelet at a WSOP event — but he missed it. Therefore, by making it to the final table of the Main Event, he is now looking for redemption, aiming for the most important trophy one can get when playing poker.

Ye Yuan

Ye “Tony” Yuan is also one of the nine players who made it to the final table and wants to take a chance at earning $1.5 million. Yuan had just about $6,774 in lifetime earnings, meaning he isn’t an active or popular poker player.

The China native is actually a Ph. D student who plays poker as his pastime. It turns out he is quite good at it, making it to the final table of the most prestigious tournament in the world.

Joseph Hebert

Shawn Stroke goes into the final table with 5.2 million in chips and as the second-placed player at the moment. Joseph Hebert, the first-placed player, currently has 13 million in chips and the best odds to win the 2020 WSOP Main Event. He will devote the gold bracelet to his recently deceased mother if he wins it.

Upeshka Da Silva

One of the most successful WSOP players at the final table is Upeshka Da Silva. He is currently looking to get his fourth gold bracelet, even though he is currently located at the lower part of the table, with just 2.1 million in Chips.

Other players who will take part in the final table are Michael Cannon, Gershon Distenfeld, and Ron Jenkins.
