On the poker forums TwoPlusTwo, a representative of 888 stated that the company wanted to assure players that despite the changes, the brand will be honoring the cashback commitment to players fully. This will include VIPs who are entitled to yearly cashback with the existing plan.
Any reward points that players accrue in the program currently will be transferred to Gold Tokens of equal value within the new 888poker Club and can be redeemed at any time. Players will be given a new level within the reward program to coincide with their current level in the program.
The decision by 888 Poker to uphold the reward earnings is a smart one. Not too long ago, PokerStars made significant changes to their rewards program which resulted in a backlash by players including two different boycotts of the online poker room.
