WPT Online Borgata Series – Tony Sinishtaj Wins Main Prize

The World Poker Tour Online Borgata Series ended on Monday night, and it took place on the partypoker US Network. The series consisted of 10 events, and its pinnacle was the $1,060 main event that attracted a total of 440 entries with a prize pool of $432,700.

The final table consisted of eight players who were eligible to win the prize of $77,349. In addition to that, a Hublot Big Bang E Titanium watch priced at $5,200 was awarded. The winner ended up being Tony Sinishtaj, aka ToNiSiNzz, who after less than 4 hours of poker action landed his second WPT title. He received his previous title when he managed to top the WPT Seminole Rock Poker Showdown Season XCI, winning $661,283.

Sinishtaj has been pretty active in live poker as well, where he won a total of $1.6 million. Apart from his WPT Seminole career-high cash, Sinishtaj also took part in the 2013 World Series of Poker Harrah’s Atlantic City where he won $107,673 as a runner-up. Moreover, he finished first in the 2017 Borgata Summer Poker Open Event #10: $400 No-Limit Hold’em, when he landed a total of $95,000.

Sinishtaj’s most recent victory involved a difficult heads-up match with Kenny Huynh, who received the consolation prize of $56,900. The two players engaged in a back-and-forth game, but Sinisthaj was the one to prevail in the end. Huynh has already won a prestigious title this year, when he managed to top Event #19: $400 No-Limit Hold’em that was part of the 2020 World Series of Poker Online. He beat the 2,545-strong field to receive a gold bracelet and $133,856.

The Final Table Overview

At the start of the final table, Tony Sinisthaj and Kenny Huynh clashed, with Sinisthaj taking the lead. The first player to hit the rail was Chris White, who ended up eighth with $9,735.

Sinishtaj went on to continue to dominate the final table, dispatching Sanjeev Datta in the seventh place game with a ten-six against ace-jack. The two players went all-in in on the pre-flop, but Sinishtaj ended up with a full house. Datta earned $14,062 for his effort.

The sixth place was reserved by Mark Tobino, who also fell victim to eventual winner Sinishtaj’s. Tobino earned a total of $19,471.

After Tobino was eliminated, it was time for Anthony Chin to hit the trail. Needless to say, he was also eliminated by Sinishtaj who, once again, played a blind-on-blind hand, three-bet jamming with ace-ten. Chin ended up with $25,962 in his pocket.

Mukul Pahuja ended up fourth, earning a total of $33,101, and “a_stormy_knight” was the last one to hit the rail before the heads-up play could start. The third-place player won a total of $43,919 for their effort, leaving Huynh and Sinishtal to duel in the last part of the event.
