One of the latest sports entities to sign a deal with a casino brand was UFC, which inked a sponsorship deal with PokerStars, according to a press release. They stated that PokerStars will be the first official poker partner ever that has signed a deal with Ultimate Fighting Championship. In other words, if you like watching UFC®, you will be able to see their logo all over the place, especially around the UFC® cage that is the center of focus. The famous red spade and a white star will become a part of every UFC show.

The first game that will feature PokerStars logo will be in the UFC® Octagon which will host a fight between Jones and Gustafsson. The full name of the fight will be UFC® 232: JONES vs. GUSTAFSSON 2 and it will take place at the T-Mobile Arean in Las Vegas on December 29. In other words, make sure to tune in and watch the fight if you are a PokerStars fan in order to see this fruitful sponsorship coming to life.

Of course, logos are not the only thing that is included here. This online poker giant will advertise during the airtime of every fight through UFC telecasts and through various other channels, including social media.

Paul Asencio, senior vice president of UFC, stated that they were pretty excited about PokerStars joining their ranks and becoming one of the global partners who had helped them create a new category for sponsorships for the last event in 2018. Furthermore, he added that the basis of their agreement was to work together and grow their respective customer bases in key markets.

This partnership is indeed crucial as it will bring MMA fans and sports betting closer together. Furthermore, MMA fandom will be able to enjoy other types of gambling entertainment, with the main focus on poker. The agreement is especially important for Pokerstars which would advertise to potentially 1.1 billion households all over the world – in 160+ countries to be more precise. The sport is broadcast in 40 different languages, as the press release states.

Christopher Coyne is a CMO of Stars Interactive which is a part of The Stars Group. He gave a brief statement, claiming that UFC and PokerStars had a lot in common. He added that both of the companies wanted to provide thrill and entertainment to the people through their products and customer experience. Furthermore, Coyne stated that UFC was the largest promoter of MMS with millions of active fans and followers around the world and that PokerStars was considered a heavyweight champion among the online poker platforms. In other words, it was only natural for the two companies to come together and offer more entertainment to the public.
