Esfandiari Wins a Prop Bet by Beating Kevin Hart in a Boxing Match

Poker players have always been lovers of placing bets outside of poker. One could claim that it is the way of life they like to lead, always making assumptions and looking to have fun and earn money from their bets. This time Antonio Esfandiari was the one to place a prop bet where he claimed that he will win an actor super-star Kevin Hart in a boxing match. As soon as he made the prop bet, giving himself very small chances to achieve his goal, he started working out and preparing for the upcoming match.

He made that prop bet in July 2019 when he revealed the prop bet to the public. Esfandiari gave a 35 to 1 odds of winning to himself, stating that Kevin was in great shape and that he was an athlete. Furthermore, Esfandiari added that Kevin Hart was very fast, but that he (Esfandiari) had a better reach, which was his major advantage.

Everyone thought that Esfandiari was going to lose the bet as everyone expected Kevin Hart to easily win, but Antonio won in the end. Some of the people that also considered him an underdog included Bill Perkins, who was pretty amazed at Esfandiari, claiming that he ‘pulled a Rocky Balboa’ on Hart by winning against him in three rounds.

Both of the boxers had support from their close friends, with Phil Laak and his girlfriend Jennifer Tilly sitting in Esfandiari’s corner and rooting for him. After the match, Hart congratulated Esfandiari on his victory by publishing a Tweet. Furthermore, Hart also published a couple of photographs that capture a few moments from the boxing match between the two players. Hart also promised that there would be a video of the best moments from the match as soon as they edit everything.
