Full Tilt Poker has been very busy as of late, getting ready for relaunch this November. The site recently announced that Gus Hansen will be the Ambassador and face of the new site and now the site has added to more pros into the mix. Both Tom ‘durrr’ Dwan and Viktor ‘Isildur1’ Blom have signed with the online poker room. The three pros have been dubbed ‘The Professionals’ and will be used to hopefully draw players back to the online poker room.
Dwan was a sponsored pro at Full tilt before it was cut off after Black Friday. He has quite a career in the poker industry and has been featured on popular poker television shows High Stakes Poker and Poker After Dark.
Blom is another top poker pro who has made quite a name for himself. The pro became a legend back in 2009 in the online poker community after it was discovered that he was Isildur1, the online poker pro who was winning millions against to pros in the game. Blom signed to PokerStars in January 2011 but left the site in August of this year. There was no reason for the departure but now it seems the pro was simply changing to Full Tilt Poker.
Sarne Lightman, the Head of Marketing at Full Tilt Poker, released a statement on the signing of both Blom and Dwan, which read: “The game of poker is always evolving. In choosing our Pros we approached the three poker players whose unique and innovative styles have had the most impact on how modern poker is played.”
Dwan commented on joining back with Full Tilt Poker by stating: “I’m very excited that Full Tilt Poker is relaunching. I think it is great for poker and I’m excited to be a part of it.” Blom also had a commented on signing with FTP. He stated: “I always loved playing on the Full Tilt Poker software, it is where I made my name and enjoyed some of my greatest victories. When they approached me about joining the team I knew this was the right fit for me.”
