Skrill Removed From Merge Gaming Network Withdrawal Methods

skrillPopular online poker networks offer a multitude of high quality financial solutions for players to make withdrawals and deposits. Skrill is an e-wallet solution that is used by many poker networks as a means for financial transactions. The option of using Skrill has now been taken away from the Merge Gaming Network, an online poker provider that has already been suffering from transaction issues connected to the provider.

According to information obtained from TwoPlusTwo and PocketFives, it was on September 10th that the network sent out an email to customers informing members of the removal of Skrill. The email was sent out to poker players who use Carbon Poker, BetUSA and other sites that operate on the Merge Gaming Network. The email was sent out to members who had pending withdrawals with Skrill.

In the email, Merge apologized for any inconvenience it may cause but they will no longer be able to provide Skrill as a method of withdrawal. Merge says the reasons are beyond their control and any Skrill Withdrawal by a player has been canceled. Funds were returned to the player account and Bank wire instructions were recommended online for payment via Bank Wire. Merge promised to prioritize the withdrawal after the bank verification process was completed.

Merge told players to submit identification to be eligible for a bank wire and in apology, the network gave the members tournament tickets. The problem with this solution is players have found they do not have the option to wire funds. Players are trying to figure out what to do, to be able to cash out their funds quickly.

One player reported they had contacted the Antigua Gaming Commission, the group responsible for licensing to Carbon Poker, a poker room operating on Merge. The player was told by a representative that they are aware of the issue and they are monitoring the situation, stating Carbon is not currently having any problems with liquidity.

This is not the first time Skrill has been an issue for players on the Merge Poker Network. Back in April, we reported of the loss of Skrill and payment issues. The payment option did return but now it seems the issues are back once again. Merge is one of only a select few networks of an international level that offers services to US players. Before the announcement, it was taking players around three months to be paid by Skrill after a cashout was initiated. Checks were on a two month delay while bank wires were just over a month to issue.
