PokerStars’ Bounty Builder Turbo Series to Return Sunday

PokerStars is all about the release schedule for various tournaments across the year. The brand is back again with another announcement about their upcoming big tournament series. Starting Sunday, May 23, 2021, the Bounty Builder Turbo Series will begin and run through June 6, 2021.

The Bounty Builder Turbo series is a collection of 184 tournaments with a guaranteed prize pool of $25 million. Each of the 184 matches is a tourney with a turbo format. Additionally, Forty-five of the matches will have Hyper Turbos format.

How the PokerStars’ Bounty Builder Turbo Plays Out

As with progressive knockout events, some of the accumulated money goes to another player’s head. However, PokerStars progressive knockout will differ a little. Instead of getting the whole bounty from the losing player, you will get half of it.

The other will go to your bounty. For example, with a $33 Progressive Knockout event, $15 will go to the standard prize pool. The other $15 will go to the bounty prize pool, while $3 will be for the house (PokerStars).

If player X eliminates player Y, player X will get $7.50 in cash while the other $7.50 will go to the player’s bounty. Thus, player X will have a new bounty amount of $22.50.

The unique PokerStars setup comes with two characteristics. First, it encourages players to be more motivated as they have a bigger reward. The other thing is that players make a profit even without cracking the money bubble.

Who Can Play the Bounty Builder Turbo Series?

Players who are afraid to play more than one chip at once, new, or passive will find a Progressive Knockout event overwhelming. However, although they are fascinating, their formats suit highly capable poker players. Thus, those enticed by thrilling, action-packed series will find the bounty turbo series a catch.

Players can start enrolling for the tournament as early as they can. The bounty builder turbo series has buy-ins suited for everyone. They start at $5.50 to $5,200.

This makes it affordable for low rollers or those working on a budget and high rollers as well. 51 of the 184 matches require an upfront payment of $22 or less.

The series will have two main events, one for low buy-in and the other for high buy-in. Players entering the first event will need to pay an upfront amount of $55 with a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million. The second event will ask for $530 with a guaranteed prize pool of $2 million.

PokerStars Is Not Slowing Down

The Bounty Builder Turbo Series unfolds days after the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) Afterparty that ended on May 18, 2021. Before that, it was the world-known Spring Championship of Online Poker, which comprised 180 tournaments. In addition, 60 of these events had three-tier buy-ins, while the prize pool money was a whopping 42.5 million for three main events.

Besides the above outline, the upcoming event will have Sunday Million, Sunday High Roller, and Sunday Storm special editions. However, the series features fewer events compared to last year’s tournament, which comprised 214 matches.

Also, the event had a $30 million guaranteed prize pool, $5 million more than this year’s tournament. Still, participating players will get a chance to increase their bankroll over the next two weeks starting Sunday 23.
