Chamas, Fernandes Win MILLIONS Events

The popular MILLIONS online poker tournament is currently underway, and two new winners were crowned recently: Rayan Chamas and Dante Fernandes. Let’s take a closer look at these two events and how they unfolded.

MILLIONS Online Event #05

It was obvious right away that Rayan Chamas is one of the favorites of the MILLIONS Online #05 6-Max Knockout, as he managed to assume the chip lead starting Day 2. Only 29 players stood in his way, and he managed to emerge on top, winning a total of $56,561 — almost twice as much compared to the second-placed player.

Since this was a knockout event, players earned both from the prize pool and from the knockouts they score. In Chamas’ case, he took the prize of $21,105 and won as much as $35,455 from bounties, which is more than any other player in the tournament.

The event itself attracted a total of 164 entrants, and the buy-in required to take part in it was $4,000. The guaranteed prize was $250,000.

The final table actually included some really popular poker players. The first one to hit the rail was Tauan Naves from Brazil, who earned a total of $8,581. He was soon followed by Jonathan Proudfoot, who earned a bigger base prize but much less in bounties, so his final reward was $6,667.

The popular poker player Joao Vieira earned $16,449 as fifth-placed and was followed by Armin Razaei, hailing from Malta, who won a total of $13,985.

The last player to hit the rail before the heads-up was Robert Svedin, who won $20,311. Joshua Hoesel was Chamas’ latest opponent, but he had to settle for the consolation prize of $28,715.

MILLIONS Online #06

The sixth event of the popular tournament was an Omaha High Roller event that required the buy-in of $3,200 and offered a total of $150,000 in guaranteed prizes. The prize went up to $219,000, as 73 entrants were recorded in total. The top 13 players got paid, with the minimum cash being $6,000.

Dante Fernandes from Brazil managed to outlast the star-studded final table and win the top prize of $61,025 after seven and a half hours of intense poker action.

The first player to leave the final table in seventh place was Gavin Cochrane from the UK, who won $8,847, and he was soon followed by Jens Kyllonen from Finland, who won a total of $10,728.

Samuli Sipila, another player from Finland, won $13,726 as the fifth-placed player. The next player to wave goodbye to the rest was Yuri Dzivielevski, another popular poker player. He earned a total of $18,671.

The third-place belonged to Andras Nemeth, the Hungarian poker legend, who managed to snatch a total of $26,398. He was the last player to leave the game before the heads-up.

Fernadnes’ final opponent was a Finnish player named Aku Joentausta, who was no match for the Brazilian and had to settle for second place and the consolation prize of $38,636.
