PokerGO Tour Leaderboard Captain Wins Yet Another PokerGO Cup Event

Ali Imsirovic is the current PokerGO Tour Leaderboard captain with over 400 points. This year has been great for the poker pro, winning one event after the other. His last win is the PokerGO Cup event 4, where he scooped $240,000 plus 240 Player of the Year points for the $15,000 No-Limit Hold ’em.

Following two wins in this PokerGO Cup Event, Ali is also the current PokerGO Cup Leaderboard captain. Yet, his win did not come easy. He entered a six-player final table, eliminating other incredible players en route to winning.
Daniel Weinand came in second at $157,500, while Jordan Cristos completes the top three with $105,000. Alex Foxen, Mo Rahim, and David Coleman took the other three places, respectively.

Ali has been doing so well this year. He has eight wins, including PokerGO Cup Event 2 for $183,000 Event 4. He has cashed 18 times in 2021 alone, bringing his total earnings this year to $2.9 million. Ali has five more titles than any other player. Players with the closest wins to Ali’s are the 2021 U.S. Poker Open winner David Peters and Sean Perry. Each has three wins this year.

Speaking of his win, Imsirovic noted that one has to hit a few sets until it works out. He said he had a good experience though he did not start on the right foot. He had to redeem himself later in the day to win his second PokerGO Cup Event.

PokerGO Cup Event 5

PokerGO Cup Event 5 attracted 36 entries, bringing the prize pool to $900,000. The $25,000 No-Limit Hold ’em had six players go to the final table.

Jake Schindler started the final day for event 5 with 1,435,000 in chips, followed by Winter with 830,000 in chips.
Daniel Negreanu, an Ambassador of GGPoker, started with 720,000 in chips while Coleman started with 445,000. Stephen Chidwick had 370,000 in chips.

Schindler scooped first place with $324,000, followed by David Peters with $216,000. David Coleman also participated, coming out third with $144,000.

Stephen Chidwick, Sean Winter, and Daniel Negreanu took the fourth, fifth, and sixth positions, respectively. They earned $99,000, $72,000 and $45,000 respectively.

PokerGO Cup Event 6

The first part of PokerGO Cup Event 6 has also taken place. It was scheduled for July 11 and 12. Thirty-six players entered the $25,000 No-Limit Hold ’em event.

John Riordan started by winning against three top players. John diminished Imsirovic’s hope to win his third PokerGO Cup. He also ended David Coleman’s hope to take his first win and Alex Foxen‘s second PokerGO Cup win.

Riordan finished with 1,700,000 in chips. This means John will start the final table with more than double the chips of other players.

Riordan will be sitting on a table with other big names, including Thomas Winter, starting with 756,000 in chips, Anuj Agarwal with 740,000 chips, and Cary Katz with 690,000 in chips. Steve Zolotow will also appear with the least chips, 220,000, while the partypoker Ambassador Jason Koon will start with 385,000.

Other scheduled events include the $50,000 No-Limit Hold ’em on July 12 and 13. The last event in this series is the $100,000 No-Limit Hold ’em on July 13 and 14, 2021.
