They competed for the 2022 WSOP bracelet and the $294,616 first-place prize that Pedro Bromfman eventually won.

The Championship’s Final Table Results

Only 19 players out of the initial field of 111 entrants made money. Daniel Negreanu finished 22nd while Bertrand Grospellier finished in 21st place.

Jeremy Ausmus was the “bubble boy” as he busted with {9-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-} to Farzad Bonyadi’s {8-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} blind. Notable players like Thomas Newton, Ian O’Hara, Ben Diebold, Chino Rheem, and Maxx Coleman appeared on Day 2.

Controversy in the Tournament

The event’s second day had drama as Phil Hellmuth mixed his chips with those of Bonyadi. 14 players advanced to day three and David Lambard got eliminated in 14th place. Mark Johns (Day 1’s chip leader) exited the tournament in 13th place.

Majid Yahyaei used {7-}{7-}{6-}{3-}{3-} to make a bluff attempt at Scott Seiver. The latter made an amazing call that sent the former packing in the 12th position. Jerry Wong followed him in 11th place and Dan Shak left the tournament in 10th place.

Yuri Dzivielevski stunned his rail when he took a three-bet pot from Hellmuth and sent him home in ninth place. Andrew Kelsall was the next player to go home in eighth place despite winning the 2020 WSOP Online event.

Action at the Final Table

Seven players formed the final table, including Eli Elezra who was the first finalist to get busted. Seiver eliminated him after as he had the shortest stack thus earning him $41,011.

Bonyadi finished in sixth place while attempting to win the event after winning the $297,051 in the 2021 WSOP in the same tournament. Bromfman eliminated him thus earning him $53,687.

Dzivielevski, a popular Brazilian poker pro, exited the event in fifth place with $71,315. Reports state that he has more than $2,500,000 in live poker cashes. Still, he has cashed four competitive events this summer.

Alex Livingston won a bracelet a few days ago and advanced to the final table. Yet, Seiver busted him using his {j-}{10-} after he failed to improve his draw. Livingston took home $96,104 after finishing fourth.

Cary Katz had a deep run before he misread a hand against Seiver. He left the table a few minutes after facing Livingston in a heads-up play and took home $131,362 after finishing third.

The play had even chips after Katz’s exit. Bromfman got several crucial hands that gave him a 2:1 stack lead. Yet, Seiver went all in against Bromfman’s three bet and drew against his pat.

The former got a {j-} shot that prompted him to improve. Unfortunately, the {q-} didn’t help him as he finished as a runner-up and won $182,086. The score gave him momentum to compete in other WSOP tournaments in the future.

Bromfman told PokerNews journalists that the victory was unreal to him since he isn’t a professional player like his best friends. But he loves poker and played more than all his opponents in the latest championship.
