Poker lovers from Pennsylvania will be able to play poker using their PCs and mobile devices starting July 15 as it is the date on which online poker will become legal in this American state.
The Executive Director of Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, Kevin O’Toole, revealed the date on Wednesday, in a PGCB meeting. It took him five minutes to get to the topic and reveal the date to the news reporters who had been very happy to share the news with the residents of Pennsylvania.

O’Toole stated that online poker was the “key component” in the gaming plan of Pennsylvania. Furthermore, he added that the staff had reviewed everything and made an estimate that they would require approximately 90 days to prepare everything. Moreover, O’Toole said that he had advised the iGaming certificate holders and operators that there would be a coordinated period when they ought to go live which is on July 15, 2019.

There is, however, one huge obstacle for everything to be launched properly, and that is the ongoing drama regarding the Wire Act that the legislators need to resolve so as to favor online poker. The Wire Act compliance’s grace period is set to be June 14, which means that everyone will now by then in what direction the online poker in Pennsylvania is going to go. Nevertheless, Pennsylvania has already had massive success when it comes to other forms of gambling which was expanded in this state, so this leaves overall optimism for online poker.
