The PokerGO Tour (PGT) PLO Series $10,000 buy-in pot-limit Omaha tournament ended recently. It attracted 130 players who competed for the $234,000 top prize.
Jose “Nacho” Barbero beat all his opponents to win the tournament and his latest largest score. He kicked off this year on a high note and is still in great form. The Argentinian stated that no one can stop his year.
He has $2,845,300 Card Player Player of the Year (POY) earnings and 3,976 points that make him the leading player in the 2023 POY race. ARIA Resort & Casino hosted the two days tournament inside the PokerGO Studio.

The Final Day’s Highlights
Jonas Kronwitter had the largest stack when Day 2’s action began while Barbero had the shortest stack among the seven final table qualifiers. Bryce Yockey got busted first at the table after using the top set to move all-in against Kronwitter’s flush draw and middle set.
The turn revealed a flush, and the river didn’t help Yockey thus sending him packing in the seventh position. Josh Arieh (four-time bracelet champion) followed Yockey in sixth place. He lost most of his chips after using a straight draw, nut flush draw, and top pair against Eelis Parssinen’s flopped two pair.
Arieh used AClub SuitQSpade SuitQHeart SuitJClub Suit to wager his remaining chips in a preflop facing Barbero’s KDiamond Suit10Spade Suit8Spade Suit4Diamond Suit. The latter got a flush on a KHeart SuitJHeart Suit3Diamond Suit5Diamond Suit9Diamond Suit and ended Arieh’s run.
Barbero improved his position at the leaderboard in five-handed action when he doubled up twice, almost reaching the chip counts’ highest limit. Sam Soverel (bracelet champion) used a flush draw and second pair to move all-in facing Kronwitter’s top pair. The river and turn didn’t help Soverel and he left the table in fifth place.
Parssinen followed Soverel in the fourth position after using two overcards and pocket eights in a nine-high flop to move all-in.
Barbero used two overcards and a pair of nines to call. He won the pot after getting a club flush and sent Parssinen packing.
Adam Hendrix used AHeart SuitASpade Suit10Spade Suit5Club Suit to go all-in in a KHeart Suit3Diamond Suit2Club Suit flop while facing Barbero’s AClub SuitJClub Suit9Diamond Suit3Spade Suit. The latter got a chip lead after the turn revealed a 3Heart Suit.
Barbero improved to a full house after the 9Diamond Suit filled the board as Hendrix exited the tournament in third place with $130,000. His elimination set up a heads-up battle between Kronwitter and Barbero.
The latter had an over 2:1 stack lead over Kronwitter which he later extended to more than 7:1. But, Kronwitter made several crucial double-ups that earned him the lead. Barbero got two big pots using a full house and two pair.
All chips got in a JDiamond Suit10Heart Suit6Diamond Suit flop as Barbero held JClub Suit9Club Suit8Spade Suit5Heart Suit for a straight draw and top pair. Kronwitter used QHeart Suit10Spade Suit7Heart Suit6Spade Suit to get the bottom two pair.
Even so, the turn revealed 9Heart Suit earning Barbero a higher two pair as Kronwitter got straight and flush draws. A blank 4Diamond Suit appeared, giving Barbero the title and pot. Kronwitter finished second with $169,000.
