The main opponent that Loeser had to face was Wei Huang, who comes from China. When it comes to the amount of money that the players won, it is worth mentioning that the three players who remained in the play made a three-way deal. In the end, Wei Huang won a total of €552,056 ($618,906), and the third-placed Viktor Katzenberger from Hungary won €529,707 ($593,772).

The Final Table Standings

The last part of the tournament was the final table that consisted of eight players. The first out of those eight to hit the rail was a Canadian player named Timothy Adams, who won a total of €78,030 ($87,467). He was soon followed by Rustam Hajiyev, who is a player from Azerbaijan and who managed to snatch €109,510 ($122,755). The sixth place was reserved for Luis Medina from Portugal. Medina won €152,800 ($171,280).

The fifth place belonged to Nicola Grieco from Italy, who won a total of €206,590 ($231,576). Ryan Riess followed shortly after that in fourth place, and he won €265,620 ($297,745). Viktor Katzenberger was in the third place, and as soon as he dropped out, the two remaining players faced each other in the heads-up play.

The final part of the game was a back-and-forth play and Loeser had to take his time to get a 2-1 chip lead. When it comes to the final hand that made Loeser the winner, Huang had a jack-high turn with king-eight and had an open-ender and gutshot. However, he only faced a suited queen-eight for the queen-high straight with a blank ace that was on the river. This concluded the tournament, which ended at 3 am, with all players being happy to have completed it.
