Loni Harwood Earns 5th WSOPC Ring with Las Vegas Event #13 Win

The WSOP Circuit Las Vegas is in full swing with several events already finished up. One of the latest tournaments to name a victor was Event #13, the $2,200 No Limit Hold’em High Roller. This event saw 130 players competing with Loni Harwood outlasting the competition to claim her fifth WSOPC ring in the process.

The tournament would last only two days with the event resuming on day 2 with 49 players hoping to make it to the top 16 to earn a payday. The final table of nine would be set when Ryan Olisar went home after taking on Ankush Mandavia with an all-in. When final table play began, Mandavia would hold the chip lead.

First to go would be Viet Vo, who took on Vincent Moscati with A-10 and ended up losing the hand against an A-K. Moscati would be next to go in 8^th, followed by Ryan Leng in 7^th and Seth Davies in 6^th. After a few more eliminations, Harwood would remain to face off against Joseph Cheong in heads-up play.

When heads-up play began, Cheong would hold the chip lead with a 9 to 7 advantage against Harwood. It would take a little while, but Harwood would eventually fight back and gain nearly a 2 to 1 chip lead before the final hand would go down.

On the final hand, Cheong would raise 75,000 and Harwood would three bet to 280,000. Cheong then four-bet all-in for close to 1.2 million and was called by Harwood. Cheong held A-9 off-suite while Harwood had A-Q of diamonds. The flop fell 7-5-2 giving Harwood a flush draw with the 5 and 2 of diamonds. The turn was a 5 and the river a 10, giving Harwood the win and Cheong the second-place finish.
