The Chief Executive Officer of 888 Holdings PLC, Brian Mattingley, has reported these changes, stating that the Division of Gaming Enforcement were told by 888 and other companies of the geolocation concerns and they provided more flexible option which seems to be working. Mattingley spoke with Philly.com and stated that the new flexibility that geolocation now provides has allowed for a significant increase in the accuracy of the results for the second and third month of operation.
Kerry Langan is a New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement spokeswoman who stated that the Division has worked with geolocation vendors and casinos to try and enhance the technology for geolocation so that location detection is more accurate and reliable. The hope is that the new relaxed option will help to reduce the number of false negatives and players will easily be able to log on to online gaming sites.
