The 2021 MILLIONS Online Main Event wrapped up recently, with Endrit Geci being the winner. He managed to seize a total of $774,838 after striking a deal with his heads-up opponent Francisco Correia. The runner-up ended up with a total of $731,960 in his pocket.
The third and fourth place were occupied by another two great poker players — Daniel Dvoress and Dzmitry Urbanovich. Christopher Rudolph also managed to make big money by ending sixth in the Main Event race.
The tournament attracted a total of 1,084 entries. Participants had to pay the buy-in price of $5,300 in order to take part in the Main Event. The final prize pool was $5,420,000.
Endrit Geci’s biggest cash score was in an online WSOP event where he ended up a runner-up and earned a total of $223,978, as stated on his Hendon Mob page. Moreover, his biggest live cash is about $55,000. It goes without saying that topping the MILLIONS Main Event, Endrit Geci has managed to break a personal record, dwarfing all the other prizes he received from online and land-based tournaments. The Final Table Overview
The first player to hit the rail and exit the race in the final table was Jonathan Proudfoot from the UK. He started the last part of the event by being the second-shortest in the stack but soon lost it all to Gelonezi. He had ace-queen and stumbled upon Gelonezi’s pocket tens. Proudfoot won $72,260 for his effort.
The next player to leave the game was Martin Brinkman. He was the first final table victim who was felled by Geci, who had a full house in Brinkman’s last hand, sending him to the rail for $91,542.
The seventh-place belongs to Richard Mullen from Canada, who managed to win a total of $115,425, and he was soon followed by Christian Rudolph, one of Germany’s best poker players at the moment. Rudolph earned a total of $146,300 for his effort.
Gelonezi was the next player to leave the game, ending with $189,320 in his pocket. After that, it was time for Dzmitry Urbanovich to wave goodbye to the final three players. He earned $276,128.
Daniel Dvoress was the last player to leave the game before the heads-up could start. Correia first doubled through both Geci and Dvoress, which left the latter with an extremely short stack, so he hit the rail soon after that, earning $422,422.
The two remaining players attempted to make a heads-up deal two times before they finally settled to get approximately $700,000 both. They decided to play it out, with Geci being the last man standing and earning the extra $50,000. More importantly, he won the Main Event trophy from one of the most prestigious online events at the moment.
