Fifth SCOOP Title for Glaser

Day 3 of the PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker wrapped up, and we were able to witness some great poker action and a total of 15 winners earning nice sums of money in their respective events. However, one event got all the attention, and that was SCOOP-06-H: $2,100 8-Game.

The reason why all eyes were set on this particular event was that Benny Glaser took part in it. Known under the moniker “RunGodlike,” Glaser has a long and successful history of playing mixed games. He managed to repeat the same success once again, as he topped the event, winning a total of $54,854 for his effort.

By winning this title, he made a huge achievement in his career, as this was his fifth SCOOP title. In other words, Benny Glaser has climbed up in the SCOOP list of the players who won most titles.

The list is still dominated by Calvin “cal42688” Anderson, who has a total of 10 titles, and who is considered the best SCOOP player to date. He is followed by Shawn “buck21” Buchanan, who has a total of six titles.

There are several players who won five SCOOP titles. In other words, Benny Glaser shares third place with Shaun Deeb, Rui Ferreira, Luke Schwartz, Jason Mercier, and Jussi Neevanlinna – not a bad company.

If he wins another title, he could share second place with Buchanan. However, these 5-time winners would have to go a long way to even things up with Calvin Anderson.

SCOOP-06-H: $2,100 8-Game — Final Table Results

The final table of this event consisted of seven players. The first one to hit the rail was a player who resides in Poland — Phil Long, aka “flong78.” He earned a total of $11,164.

The next one in line was a player from Germany who had chosen not to reveal their identity. So far, we only know the nickname, which is Fake Love888. That player won $14,556.

The fifth place was reserved for Jens “Fresh_oO_D” Lakemeier, who earned $18,979 for his effort. A player from Austria that goes by the name “joiso” managed to end up in the fourth position and earned $24,746 for their effort.

The last player to hit the rail before the heads-up was “at0216” from Macau. They won a total of $32,266.

Benny Glaser faced “donthnrmepls” a player from Germany. The German had to settle for second place at the end, and the consolation prize of $42,070.

This year’s SCOOP proved to be quite popular, as a lot of players applied for all events offered by the tournament. One of the reasons for that is that there are no live tournaments going on at the moment due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Players tend to stay home, and those who prefer live games are now settling for the next best thing — online poker.
