The 2023 PokerGO Tour (PGT) PLO Series II $25,200 Buy-In Pot-Limit Omaha Championship tournament attracted 75 entrants and it had a $1,875,000 prize pool that the leading 11 players shared. Daniel Geeng showed his prowess in poker after being the last player at the table.
He won $487,500 and the title, this being his first big live poker event victory. PokerGO Studio hosted the PGT PLO Series II from October 19 to 30.
Geeng collected bounties worth $148,000 after finishing second in the $15,100 Progressive Bounty tournament. He has scored in four out of the Series’ 10 events. The champion had $120,000 winnings before the latest tournament.

How the Final Day Unfolded
Several renowned players like Adam Hendrix, Alex Livingston and Michael Duek got busted early on the last day. Livingston finished eighth and set a seven-handed final table.
John Riordan was the first finalist to leave the table after Harsheel Kothari’s Q-10-10-9 beat his pocket aces. Mark Berente used a gutshot and a pair to stake his remaining chips against Benjamin Juhasz’ pocket aces.
The former got a flush draw from the turn but a blank on the river sent him home in sixth place. Juhasz used JDiamond Suit10Spade Suit9Diamond Suit8Club Suit to move all-in on the KHeart Suit10Diamond Suit6Spade Suit flop against Geeng’s ASpade SuitKDiamond SuitKClub Suit3Spade Suit.
The 3Diamond Suit on the river and 3Club Suit on the turn helped Geeng to improve to a full house and eliminate Juhasz in fifth place. Geeng put his chips on the JHeart Suit6Spade Suit2Spade Suit flop holding a king-high flush draw and middle pair. The turn earned him queens and eliminated Parssinen in fourth place.
Still, it gave Geeng the stack lead. His chips were over three times more than those of the second player. Kothari’s flopped set of queens lost to Karakitukov’s pocket kings, hence finishing third with $243,750.
Geeng had an almost 2:1 chip advantage over Karakitukov when their battle began. The former used KHeart SuitKDiamond Suit8Diamond Suit3Diamond Suit to make a button raise prompting the latter to use 6Spade Suit4Club Suit2Heart Suit2Club Suit to defend his big blind. Yet, the flop turned KClub Suit7Club Suit2Diamond Suit.
Karakitukov used a flush draw and bottom set to check-raise Geeng’s continuation wager. The latter used a top set to flat call and landed 8Heart Suit on the turn.
He earned a king full of sevens from the 7Diamond Suit on the end and busted Karakitukov in the second position with a $337,500 consolation prize.
