Arthur Morris Won $182,379 in the $1,700 Buy-In Main Event in August. It wrapped up the World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) and it was Morris’ first time participating in it.
The Colleyville resident beat Mike Cordell from Little Rock, in a heads-up match. The latter won $112,717 for being the runner-up.
The WSOPC Tulsa Main Event had 646 entrants who generated a $978,690 prize pool. Jessica Vierling, Blair Hinkle, and Cedrric Trevino are some of the players who had deep runs and won various prizes.

The Long-Awaited Win
Morris is an experienced poker player who has been in the industry for 17 years. The Hendon Mob indicates that his latest victory increased his lifetime career earnings to $1 million. Also, he had anticipated it for a long time after having deep and disappointing runs in 2022.
The player won $61,000 in May after finishing eighth in the World Poker Tour (WPT) Choctaw Main Event. He informed WSOP that he reached many unofficial final tables in the last year and it was tough having such deep runs without cashing them in.
WSOP updates show that Morris was in second place in the chip standings at the beginning of the final day. Yet, he dropped to the last position and later doubled twice.
He hit a three-outer that busted Hinkle in fourth place. Trevino left the table in third place after Cordell’s top pair beat his flush draw.
Morris got a nut flush against Cordell’s trips and won the ring after overtaking the stack lead from his opponent. He revealed that many people have consistently supported him in the past year and he was grateful to them, especially Jack (his son), Pauleen (his wife), and friends. Also, he was excited to return home to hang out with them.
Jennings Gets Gold
Greg Jennings won his first Circuit ring in Event No. 5:$400 No-Limit Hold’em Monster Stack and took home $24,578 when the series was halfway. The player hadn’t won any major tournament in a long time and the Hendon Mob shows that he has $890,755 live poker earnings.
He told WSOP that that was his twelfth time reaching a circuit final table. Jennings has been dispirited to play poker since 2019 but he decided to travel to Tulsa since it is near his home. Even so, he didn’t celebrate for long since he won Event No.7:$400 No-Limit Hold’em Double Stack and took home a Circuit ring and $20,593.
Jennings battled it out with other poker pros at the final table like Scotty Nguyen to win his second Circuit ring. The latter took home $2,320 after finishing eighth after missing his first Circuit ring.
Jennings had a deep run in the Main Event as it extended to Day 2 and he sought his third Circuit. Unfortunately, he missed it as he finished in 23rd place.
Rania Nasreddine won $60,380 in Event No. 3:$400 No-Limit Hold’em and her first Circuit ring. She beat 1,157 players to be the last remaining player at the final table.
