Fanatics Betting & Gaming has officially launched its online casino app in the state of New Jersey, and it should lead to some massive numbers for the company. Rumors of this launch have been out there for awhile now, but it was time that the final step was taken.
This is now the fourth state where the Fanatics online casino app is available as it has already launched in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. While those three states will give the company a chance to make some money, going live in New Jersey is a much bigger market.
Just like with other states, Fanatics was able to go live through an online license that used to be used up by PointsBet, but that company sold all of its assets in the United States. Fanatics is making it easy for former customers of PointsBet as all of the customer information will simply be transferred over.
Not only was this the final state in which Fanatics was looking to go live, but it was also the final piece in completing the takeover of the U.S. assets. PointsBet was not able to see much success in New Jersey or elsewhere, but Fanatics has already proven that it can have some success in the iGaming industry.
